My top tip when preparing for the arrival of your baby - no matter how many little ones you have - is to start with the basics. It is so exciting, you want to buy everything, but without knowing you might buying something you don’t use or that baby doesn’t like. We're here to help you avoid waste, protect your pocket and feel prepared for those early days. After 13 years of being a Norland Nanny and having a son of my own, I always take it back to the must have list. Here it is:

Sleep / Travel

  • Moses Basket / Next to me / Cotbed
  • Mattress
  • Waterproof sheet
  • 2 x Normal sheets
  • Car seat
  • Pram that will see you through from the Newborn stage to Toddler age
  • Sling / carrier
  • Swaddles / Swaddle bags
  • Blankets
  • Grow Egg Room Thermometer

  • 4 x Bottles (Lansinoh are a great brand)
  • Bottle brush

  • Nappies (Peachies, of course)
  • Changing mat
  • Water Wipes
  • Thermometer

This is dependent on the time of year your baby is born but my go-to suggestions would be...

  • 3 x hats
  • Pram suit
  • Snowsuit
