The perfect fit
- Check waist height: the top of the landing strip should sit 1 finger (laying them horizontally) under the baby's belly button
- Secure the tabs: land the tabs in line with or on the Peachies logo
- You should be able to run a finger inside the waistband
- Run a finger inside the legs: make sure the ruffles and the inner leg cuffs aren’t tucked in!
- Note: Pants should also sit in the same place on baby’s belly

The perfect fit
- Waist sits 2 or more fingers (when laid horizontally on baby's belly) below the belly button
- Sticky closure tabs barely close at the edges of the landing zone. The landing zone is the patch where you find the Peachies logo on the nappy front
- Nappy leaving lasting red marks or indents on baby's waist and thighs
- You experience an increase in leaks, poo explosions, and tears, especially overnight and especially out the back of the nappy or pant

Size down when:
- Nappy or pant sags around the legs, sometimes or often leading to leaks
- Sticky tabs are close together or could overlap. Avoid tightening the tabs so that they overlap
- There are gaps at the waist between nappy and skin
- Baby's hip is visible on the side and not covered by the tabs pulled across and secured to the front

Sizing for babies under 4kg
I’m Morgan, Peachies Co-Founder, and my son was 2.5kg when he was born. We used Peachies right from the start so I thought it would be useful to share some tips on navigating the early days with smaller babies.
The umbilical cord
When the umbilical cord is still attached, roll down the front of the nappy so that you actually hide the Peachies logo and the nappy therefore avoids contact with the cord. Attach the sticky tabs to the soft woven material (where you see the yellow wetness indicator start). It also helps to keep the nappy closed by not overlapping the tabs when you fasten them. I stuck them at different angles, the left tab pointing at 4 o’clock and the right at 7 o’clock. The nappy should be snug however you should be able to fit 1-2 fingers underneath the waistband once it’s closed.Once the cord comes off, you can pull the nappies up higher and stop rolling down the front waistband. It’s okay in those early days if they’re above the belly button. With those liquid poos the extra coverage can be useful.
Extra tips from our in-house expert
Always, always run a finger around the leg holes once you’ve put on the nappy. You’re aiming to pull out the ruffles and make sure the inner leg cuff is on the outside of they’re thigh. This prevents side leaks which is even more important when they’re legs are smaller.
A final one… wearing two nappies can also be helpful to fill out your little ones clothes and just provide a little extra coverage. When changing, we would remove the soiled nappy and move the outer one to “prime position” aka in the line of fire (so no nappy goes to waste). We’d then put a fresh one on top so he’s back to wearing two.
