Indi Supplements - ‘Body’

Founded by nappy wrangling duo Helen and Chris, Indi’s ‘Body’ supplements that I mix into my yogurt every morning has brought some pep to my morning routine. During pregnancy I really fell in love with breakfast but that morning time got lost in the shuffle of the early days of parenthood where I didn’t know which way was up. Body is particularly good postpartum and has boosted my energy levels, sorted our my digestion as well as given me a little self care me-time moment to start the day.

Neal’s Yard Mother’s Balm

I had an emergency c-section. Recovery has been long, frustrating and hard. Although I know my gnarled belly skin will heal, it’s hard to be patient. Neal’s Yard Mama Oil soothed stretch marks in pregnancy and is doing the same for the healing process on the other side. Not too oily (but like still oily in a good way), rubs in well and comes in a handsome tub (formerly in glass which I preferred) that will last you a while. Shout out to my amiga Vivi who got me into it.

Decem 10% G1N

Parenting with a hangover sucks - no energy, sweaty (just me?) and irritable. Enter Decem - the 10% G1N that gives you all the flavour and joy of a cocktail without the side effects. We recently did a Summer Supper Club with Decem founder, Billy Wright, who was a Masterchef finalist and knows how to make a sipping (or dining) experience a treat.

Uniqlo basics

Finding clothes to wear postpartum was and still is a nightmare. I look at maternity clothes and think f*ck you. I’m also not back into my pre-pregnancy clothes either. I’ve lived in leggings and big t-shirts and now I’m bored. Recently I asked my co-founder Rima to come with me to pick out some new things (she’s your best shopping partner) and we found summery, flattering basics - white t shirts, linen shirts and a jumpsuit - that are good for both the hot humidity or when the temp dips. Uniqlo doesn’t break the bank and the versatility makes it worth the spend.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wand

I can feel Rima laughing as I write this. She, and everyone close to me, knows I’m mostly too lazy to put on makeup. BUT postpartum I’ve gotten more into it because it’s a way to feel fresh and ready for the day in a way that brings nice contrast to wearing clothes with spit-up on them. The Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wand is basically nice glitter in a tube that doesn’t make your skin breakout. It adds highlight and sparkle that’s subtle so whether you’re big into make up or a casual user - you can feel festive no matter the occasion and bright.
