Peachies is supporting Save the Children to make sure children in the UK and around the world keep safe, healthy and learning. Peachies is particularly interested in Save the Children’s work empowering families in the first 1,000 days from the earliest days of pregnancy through the child’s second birthday.

Our focus on the first 1,000 days recognises that this period sets the foundation for life. Research from Save the Children highlights that babies who are not adequately nourished, receive inadequate care and/or live in unhygienic environments suffer from devastating, often permanent impact on their physical and cognitive capabilities. What’s more - parents, particularly mothers, who are healthy have healthier children and more prosperous families, and societies with well-nourished populations are more productive, economically stable, and secure.

Our collective vision is to make the health and well-being of both parents and their children a priority.

Save the Children is the world’s leading independent non-profit organisation helping transform children’s lives. Their global movement stretches over 100 countries where they provide lifesaving short-term help, and at the same time push for deep-rooted social change. In 2021, Save the Children helped 26.5 million children through their movement's health and nutrition work. In the same year, they supported 12.2 million children to learn through their education programmes. Save the Children’s work in the UK to support families beat poverty and their commitment to food safety, especially in the first 1,000 days inspired Peachies to build this collaboration.

Peachies set a fundraising goal of £5,000 in aid of Save the Children for our first year from launch. We’re starting small, our ambitions are big and we hope to combine the potential of Peachies’ donations with the voluntary support of our community. With every monthly purchase, you also will have the opportunity to donate at checkout with just a single click.

Co-Founder Rima Suppan: ‘We started Peachies with the purpose to make a difference in the lives of parents, carers and their children - one poo at a time. Our collaboration with Save the Children empowers us as a young company to achieve that goal from day one. Save the Children is a powerful positive force for lifting up families globally and we look forward to growing our impact together’.

Alicia Wiltshire, Senior Regional Corporate Manager, Save the Children: ‘Peachies is demonstrating how startups can have a positive impact on society - even with limited resources. Before their launch, Peachies has donated £700 in aid of Save the Children to fuel our core programmes and emergency relief efforts. That’s the equivalent of 300 midwives’ birth kits, 140 children’s hygiene kits or 4,170 water purification tablets. We can’t wait to see where our collaboration leads from here.’

Here’s how together we - Peachies, Save the Children and you- can have a positive impact:

With a monthly donation of just one pound for a year, we could provide 100 water purification tablets or 71 food sachets for children or provide for 7 midwives' birth kits.
